HDI-Gerling poaches WR Berkley finance executive

Industrial insurance company HDI-Gerling has appointed Richard Mangion as director, finance and operations of its UK branch.

Mangion, who will also form part of the company’s executive team with Richard Taylor and Alan Waters, joins from WR Berkley Insurance Europe, where he held the position of chief financial officer. He previously worked at Everest Re and Aspen Re.

Richard Taylor, UK and Ireland managing director, said: “Richard is a great addition to our team, bringing invaluable finance and operational experience and expertise, which will be vital in supporting our ongoing strategic growth plans.”
