Ironshore execs take on new product line roles

Bermuda-based Ironshore Specialty Casualty has named Dawn Puro and Sonny Powers to assume new product line responsibilities with immediate effect.

New York-based Puro, the senior vice president of specialty casualty, has been named product line manager for public entity lines. Prior to joining Ironshore in 2009, she served AIG in casualty underwriting, management and marketing roles for over 13 years.

Powers, who is the vice president and product line manager for transportation and based in Boston, will now serve in the capacity of product line manager for general casualty. He has served Ironshore's specialty casualty unit since 2009, where he has held various production and management roles.

The duo will report to executive vice president and chief underwriting officer of specialty casualty Kevin Whitehead, and oversee product development and distribution strategies to support the continued growth of their respective business portfolios.
