Ironshore International has appointed Chris Horton as director of underwriting for US liability risks.
In his newly created role, Horton, based in London, will also join the board of Ironshore International, reporting to Mark Wheeler, chief executive officer of the company.
Horton joins Ironshore from the London branch of Lexington Insurance Company where he served for more than thirteen years as general manager and regional vice president, responsible for the US property and casualty portfolio. While at Lexington, Horton oversaw senior management, underwriting teams and professional staff to integrate branch operations into AIG UK.
“Chris has an established reputation as a leading insurance industry executive attuned to the liability coverage needs of US risks,” said Wheeler. “His in-depth expertise reflects a proven track record in providing syndicated coverage to US domiciled clients from the London market.”
Horton previously held roles with Zurich Re and Lexington in Boston and New York.
