IUA elects chairmen of market committees
The International Underwriting Association (IUA) has elected chairmen of a number of market committees.
Paul Rich of Inter Hannover has been elected chairman of the delegated authority underwriting group, which recently held its first meeting. Matt Gordon of Aviva has been appointed deputy chairman.
The group was established in response to a growing number of queries about delegated agreements across the London company market. It discussed the results of the Financial Conduct Authority’s recent thematic review on delegated authorities and will, in future meet monthly.
In addition, Marcus Drew of Liberty Mutual Insurance Europe has been elected chairman of the IUA’s non-marine environmental committee.
Peter Jarvis of AIG Europe was elected deputy chairman of the group which discusses issues surrounding the development of insurance coverage for environmental liabilities.
Melanie Rouvray-Kampe of Hannover Rueckversicherung has been elected chair of the IUA clauses committee. The committee drafts and publishes non-marine model wordings for use in the London Market.
