JLT Re hires Cooper Gay MD for marine and energy chair role

JLT Re has appointed Martin Stephenson to chair its marine and energy division.

Stephenson will work closely with the division's head, Nick Jay, and its senior leadership. He will also join the JLT Re UK & Europe Broker Management Committee and will be based in JLT Re’s London office.

Previously, Stephenson was managing director (MD) of the combined reinsurance business of Cooper Gay & Co and Newman Martin and Buchan (NMB). He joined NMB in 1990 and held a number of key senior roles before becoming MD.
