JLT Re hires Miller exec

Broker JLT Re has appointed Russell Walters as a partner to drive its international business expansion in London.

Walters most recently served at Miller Insurance. He began his career as a marine London placing reinsurance broker at Alexander Howden which later became Aon.

In addition to working at Aon he has also worked at Willis & Agnew Higgins. He has also worked abroad running the branch for Aon Benfield in Bahrain & Dubai for three years and is accredited in the DIFC.

Bradley Maltese, deputy chief executive officer of UK & Europe, said: “Russell joins JLT Re with over 30 years of reinsurance experience and expertise and will be driving international business expansion in London. Whilst he has an energy background he will support cross class production from Middle East and North Africa as well as Asia.”
