JLT Re hires former Atlas VP

JLT Re (North America) has appointed John Speckman as senior vice president, who will join the workers’ compensation and programmes practice and will be based in Stamford, Connecticut.

Speckman has over 20 years of re/insurance experience, having most recently served as executive vice president of business development at Atlas General Insurance Services.

At Atlas, he was responsible for sourcing general agency, distribution, and carrier partnerships, while building a platform for Atlas’ product and service distribution.

Prior to that, Speckman was a director at Aon Benfield specialising in general casualty, with a focus on specialty programs, workers’ compensation, and professional liability.
