JLT Re hires former Marsh leader as EVP

JLT Re, a reinsurance broker and consultant, has named Pete Chandler as executive vice president (EVP) and managing broker, effective August 8.

Chandler has over 15 years of experience, having most recently served as Marsh’s leader for the Western Region.

Prior to that, he was chief operating officer for Guy Carpenter in North America. He has also roles at Marsh and Benfield.

Based in JLT Re’s San Francisco office, Chandler will report to Ed Hochberg, chief executive officer of JLT Re in North America.
