JLT Specialty USA, a US subsidiary of insurance and reinsurance broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT), has appointed Perry Robinson as senior vice president (SVP).
Based in Houston, Robinson will assist JLT’s clients with identification, management and mitigation of complex risks in the cyber and technology fields.
Having most recently served as vice president (VP) and general manager of Rackspace’s managed security division, and prior to that as VP of business and legal affairs at Rackspace, Robinson joins JLT with over a decade of experience in leading business and legal teams in the technology space.
In his former position, Robinson’s responsibilities included product design and service delivery of managed security offerings, and leading Rackspace's legal team in commercial matters and public policy. He has also worked as counsel for The Performance Companies and as a litigation associate for Martin & Drought.
“We couldn’t be happier to welcome Perry to JLT,” said Mike Rice, chief executive officer of JLT Specialty USA.
“His passion, expertise and innovative approach to cyber security, data privacy, risk management and incident response are unrivalled in this field.”
Paul Graziano, executive vice president and chief business development officer at JLT Specialty USA, said: "We are excited to announce Perry's addition and are pleased to welcome him to our team. We are dedicated to bringing the best talent on board, and Perry is an outstanding example of the specialised expertise necessary to support clients to identify and address their evolving technology risks.”
