JLT Specialty poaches another Marsh exec

JLT Specialty, the US subsidiary of re/insurance broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT), has appointed Charity O’Sullivan as senior vice president (SVP) in its Los Angeles office.

O’Sullivan joins the firm from Marsh where she served as SVP. Prior to this, O’Sullivan spent eight years with Chubb as an underwriter and loss control representative.

Her primary focus will be on client development and leading JLT teams in exemplary service, according to JLT Specialty. She will also continue to be an advisor on risk management issues for both attorneys and major corporations throughout the Western US.

Michael Rice, chief executive officer of JLT Specialty, said: “We could not be more excited to officially welcome Charity to the JLT Specialty team. Charity’s nearly two decades of experience in the insurance industry will prove to be invaluable to our team and our clients on the West Coast.”

David Payne, executive vice president and chief revenue officer of JLT Specialty, said: “Charity has formed incredible relationships throughout her career and has a proven track record of delivering great service to clients. We are excited to welcome her as a key contributor to our southern California strategy.”

Recently, Taylor Turney, another former Marsh exec, was appointed vice president in JLT Specialty’s Los Angeles office.
