Lancashire appoints UK CEO & CUO

Lancashire Holdings has appointed Paul Gregory as the chief executive officer of its London operation, Lancashire Insurance Company (LUK), and Hayley Johnston as chief underwriting officer.

Gregory will continue his role as the group chief underwriting officer. Johnston has also been appointed to the board of LUK.

Johnston joined Lancashire in September 2007 as a member of the underwriting team. In May 2011 Hayley was appointed deputy chief underwriting officer for LUK, in addition to her outwards reinsurance manager role. She was responsible for the underwriting of the marine and aviation accounts.

Alex Maloney, Lancashire Group chief executive officer, said: "I congratulate both Paul and Hayley on their well deserved appointments. They have both played key roles in the development of the LUK business to date and will continue to uphold our very high standards of disciplined underwriting, client service and risk management."
