Malaysian insurer NexAssure appoints CEO
Malaysia based specialty insurance provider NexAssure Solutions has appointed Anthony Hobrow as its new chief executive officer.
NexAssure Solutions provides specialist insurance services to the financial, warranty and related sectors.
Hobrow will work closely with the group’s senior executive team based in Kuala Lumpur, Dermot Reilly and Harj Sandhu.
Previously, Hobrow was chief executive of Whittington Group, a London run-off group and managing agency, responsible for many start-up businesses and acquisitions in Europe, Asia and the USA. He launched DirectAsia.Com in Singapore in 2010 as the region’s first wholly online insurer.
Reilly said: "Anthony is a charismatic, high energy leader who will bring talent and the experience of growing successful businesses into NexAssure’s next growth phase.”
Hobrow said: “I am pleased to be taking on this strategic leadership role. Over the last few years NexAssure has proven its business model by launching innovative products in the Asia Pacific markets, growing its footprint across Asia and most recently the Middle East. The team is talented and experienced.
“My goals will be to expedite NexAssure’s dominance in its specialist areas, to provide leadership and to focus on key growth milestones which will take NexAssure to the next level.
