Specialist Lloyd's underwriter Marketform has appointed four new mergers and acquisitions (M&A) insurance specialists.
Dawn Bhoma, Katherine Cheung, Tanya Nash and John Kahn will all join the team and will be based in the firm's London office.
With a £50 million line available on a Lloyd’s market consortium and five specialist underwriters in place (three warranty and indemnity specialists and two tax specialists), the Marketform team will be open for business from today.
Bhoma has been a tax underwriter since January 2013. Her last position was head of tax liability insurance where she was responsible for underwriting tax risks in M&A transactions.
Cheung joins the firm from Aon Risk Solutions, where she served as a transaction liability broker. Prior to this, she was qualified as a solicitor at the law firm Pinsent Masons.
Nash was previously general counsel of M&A insurance and before that was a partner at law firms Ince & Co and Dentons.
Kahn served as an underwriter and solicitor working within a specialist M&A team insuring M&A and tax risks around the world. Previously he was an associate at both Weil, Gotshal and Manges and Debevoise & Plimpton.
“We are delighted to announce the arrival of these highly regarded, specialist M&A insurance underwriters. They have deep and significant experience along with specialist skills that set them out as amongst the best there is in the M&A insurance class," said Simon Lotter, chief underwriting officer, Marketform Managing Agency.
