MATRIX names head of treaty – London office

MATRIX, an insurance and reinsurance broker at Lloyd’s, has appointed Robert Easton as head of treaty – London office.

Easton will report to Gerry Tighe, the Group’s head of treaty and will be focusing on the development of business in Greece, Τurkey, Iran and the MENA region.

Easton is the former managing director of Guy Carpenter London. He has managed and developed Turkish clients across all classes of business in respect of treaty reinsurance as well as other territories such as Greece, Middle East and North Africa.

Furthermore, Easton has worked closely with the Turkish Treasury, the World Bank and other key partners during the run up to the establishment of TCIP the Turkish Catastrophe Insurance Pool in 2000.

Apart from his duties in the MATRIX London Office, Easton will assume responsibilities as head of the Group’s operation in Iran, preparing and implementing the strategy for current and future business plans, drawing on his experience and knowledge of the local market.
