Morgan Stanley Investment Management has strengthened its London office with the appointment of two insurance specialist.
Richard Sarsfield will become responsible for European insurance business development. He joined Morgan Stanley in 2015, and has over 12 years of industry experience.
Sarsfield previously provided outsourced CIO services to UK insurers, and Solvency II related consulting services to asset managers. He has managed the investment and treasury operations of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance (London and Europe) and Antares Underwriting at Lloyd’s.
Helmut Cardon has been appointed as a European insurers and pension funds specialist. His focus is on strategic asset allocation, risk management and regulatory developments.
Cardon began working within Morgan Stanley’s European pensions group nine years ago and prior to that worked with Shell International and Shell’s Pension Fund.
