MS Amlin hires from XL Catlin to expand in LatAm

Re/insurer MS Amlin has appointed Frank Padilla as senior international casualty underwriter based in Miami to help it expand into the Latin American market.

Padilla joins MS Amlin from XL Catlin, where he was casualty underwriter for the Latin American and Caribbean region.

In his new role, Padilla will be responsible for developing the international casualty account for the Latin American region, combining his 13 years of experience of local markets and customs.

Mark Clements, head of property/casualty international at MS Amlin, said: "Latin America is a key growth market in our international strategy. We are committed to ensuring the needs of our clients in this region are well-serviced.

"Frank's seniority and knowledge of the Latin American market will prove invaluable as we expand our proposition in this region and continue to enhance the services we offer our brokers and clients on a global basis."
