Munich Re’s UK CEO passes away

Mark Watkins, the chief executive officer of Munich Re Holding Company (UK), has passed away at the age of 64.

Watkins managed the Munich Re Syndicate and related service companies.

He co-founded the syndicate in 1977 and was active underwriter for the Syndicate from 1989 to 2001.

Watkins was also a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Insurer.
