New book covers history of FIDES

A new book on the history of FIDES has been published. Historia de Fides has been published by Fundacion MAPFRE. The authors are two Colombian economists, Roberto Junguito, former Finance Minister and former President of FASECOLDA and Hernando Rodriguez former researcher at FASECOLDA.

“The first one chapter, Economia y Seguros analyzes the relationship between the economic activity and insurance since 1850,” said Junguito.

“The second one refers to the History of Insurance Associations and the development of the insurance companies, insurance penetration by line of business in each of the countries members of FIDES including the USA and Spain.”

The final chapter refers to the Hemispheric Conferences since the first one held in NYC in 1946 and the impact on the development of the insurance industry in LATAM. The book was sponsored by FIDES and FUNDACION MAPFRE.
