Newline rehires CUO

Specialty insurer Newline Group, a unit of Odyssey Re, has re-hired its former CUO and made two further appointments.

Stephen Gordon is set to return to the company as chief underwriting officer, while Neil Beaton and Nicola Mills have been promoted to head of Financial Lines, in charge of Financial Institutions Commercial D&O and Commercial PI and Senior FI Underwriter, respectively.

Carl Overy, chief executive officer for Newline Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome Stephen back to Newline, Stephen’s knowledge of our business will enable a smooth transition into the role. We are also pleased to announce the promotions of Neil and Nicola, enabling Newline Group to provide a coordinated and seamless approach to the products, underwriting and marketing of our Financial Lines portfolio.”
