Nexus CIFS appoints business writer and underwriting assistant

Nexus CIFS, the specialist trade credit insurance subsidiary of leading independent specialty managing general agent (MGA) Nexus Underwriting Management Group, has appointed Daniel Ismail as business underwriter and Callum Matthews as underwriting assistant.

Ismail joins Nexus CIFS from Euler Hermes UK, where he managed a portfolio of brokers and prospected and underwrote new business with a turnover up to £20 million.

Matthews spent a period of work experience at Nexus CIFS earlier on in the year following his graduation from the University of Sussex with First Class Honours in Business Management.

He will report to James Steele-Perkins, director, single situation credit and political risks, Nexus CIFS. Matthews will support both Steele-Perkins and Adam Clark in the ongoing development and expansion of the firm’s single situation product offering.
