OCIL hires Axis exec as underwriter

Oil Casualty Insurance (OCIL), the Bermuda-based provider of property/casualty re/insurance, has appointed Natasha Pethick as a property underwriter.

Pethick joins the firm from Axis Specialty in Bermuda where she was an underwriter in the global property department.

Jerry Rivers, chief operating officer, OCIL, said: “OCIL began underwriting direct property insurance for the energy and mining industries in late 2012. More recently, OCIL announced a diversification strategy to underwrite beyond energy company risks and Natasha’s expertise will greatly contribute to the successful execution of that strategy.”
