ORIC shuffles board; appoints chair
ORIC International, a provider of operational risk data and content solutions for re/insurers, has appointed Dee Lehane as the chair of the board.
Lehane is an experienced international executive and independent non-executive director with 25 years of insurance and retail financial services experience.
She was elected as chair by the new ORIC International board after the recent annual general meeting.
This followed an extensive search with Anne Murphy, head of Odgers Berndtson’s UK financial services practice, participating as a nominations committee member to support the board during the selection process.
Lehane currently has a portfolio of non-executive director roles, including being an independent non-executive director for Aviva Health Insurance Ireland (chair audit committee), and independent board member - Debt Markets Integrator (DMI) - cabinet office.
In addition to the appointment of a new chair, ORIC International has also appointed Louisa-Jayne O’Neill, senior executive at Montrose Associates, to the board.
Kevin Borrett, who has been on the ORIC International board for four years, has been appointed as deputy chairman.
Interim chair Justin Elks, as well as Jason Rose and Flavia Jones, are stepping down from the board.
Michael Sicsic, head of department, general insurance retail sector, Financial Conduct Authority, has remained on the board as an independent non-executive director, which, with the addition of Lehane and O’Neill, brings the total to three independent non-executive directors on the new board.
The new eight-person board contains equal numbers of men and women, which ORIC says is a great achievement for the company.
