Pardus launches reinsurance facility for North American property

Pardus, the London-based independent managing general agent (MGA), has launched a facultative reinsurance facility for North American property interests. The division will be led by market veteran Andy Billinge and backed by Lloyd’s security.

Billinge was previously managing director of Oxford Insurance Brokers and has extensive experience operating within the facultative reinsurance arena.

Keith Thompson, chief executive of Pardus, said: “We are delighted to have secured the services of Andy who brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge along with strong broker relationships all of which combines to place Pardus in an excellent position to develop facultative property business.”

Pardus began trading last year and has launched four underwriting products as it continues to progress in line with its business strategy of becoming a multi-lined MGA.
