PartnerRe poaches senior MD from Willis Re for CEO role in Asia Pacific
PartnerRe has appointed James Beedle as head of Asia Pacific and chief executive officer of Partner Reinsurance Asia, effective January 1 2017.
Beedle succeeds Alain Flandrin, who will leave the company after a short transition period.
Based in Singapore, Beedle will be responsible for developing PartnerRe’s business in Asia Pacific, and will report to Tad Walker, CEO of PartnerRe’s property/casualty segment and group executive committee member.
Beedle has substantial experience in the Asia Pacific region, having most recently served as senior managing director of Willis Re Asia-Pacific.
He has also served as chief operating officer of Willis Re Australia, and then CEO of Willis Re Japan.
