Pioneer hires Chubb VP to expand environmental offering

Pioneer Underwriters has appointed Maria Rozew as assistant vice president to its environmental liability team with immediate effect.

Rozew will report to Jessica Huhn-Kenzik, the vice president (VP) of environmental liability at Pioneer Special Risk, the company's US underwriting platform.

Most recently, Rozew served as VP for the Southwest region at Chubb, where she was responsible for the overall environmental risk business unit operations. She has previously worked for XL Insurance.

Huhn-Kenzik commented: "I'm thrilled to welcome Maria to the company, her proven track record will be a perfect fit for our team of dedicated and highly experienced professionals.

"We see enormous opportunities in the environmental liability class of business, where we offer highly rated capacity across the United States, with the terms and conditions and suite of products that our brokers and carriers value. Maria’s appointment will further build on the significant growth and success the team has delivered since it launched in 2016."

Rozew added: "Pioneer has a deserved reputation for offering brokers and clients flexible, creative and expert solutions, and I look forward to being part of the team as it continues to extend its reach in the Environmental Liability market."
