Pool Re appoints new non-exec director

Denise Jagger, a senior corporate finance lawyer and partner at Eversheds, has joined terrorism reinsurer Pool Re as a non-executive director.

Pool Re chairman Tony Latham welcomed Jagger’s appointment. “As well as having a fine legal brain, Denise has experienced the realities of commercial life from the end-customer’s perspective, and I am sure her insights and support will be of great value,” he said.

Her career has included eleven years in retail, serving on the executive committee of ASDA Group and subsequently as part of Wal Mart.

Pool Re is a mutual reinsurer that provides terrorism cover for commercial property. Its members include the vast majority of property insurers active in the UK market.
