Prestige appoints head of GB sales from AXA

Delegated underwriting agency Prestige Underwriting has appointed Ant Sherlock as head of Great Britain (GB) sales and distribution.

Sherlock brings personal lines and specialist insurance experience, with particular expertise within the non-standard household insurance arena. He joins Prestige from AXA Personal Intermediary after seventeen and a half years at the insurer.

Having been recruited by AXA in 1996, Sherlock took on a number of management roles within personal lines including motor engineering, claims and strategy, before joining the sales and distribution team in 2006 to manage large MGA, specialist and panel relationships.

Sherlock said: "Having supported Prestige over the last four years in a capacity as AXA business manager, I am delighted to be joining such an established, strong broker business with an excellent reputation across home and motor in GB. I am excited about the new challenge and look forward to supporting their ambitious growth aspirations over the next few years."
