QBE appoints executive general manager in Australia
QBE has appointed Andrew Broughton as executive general manager for corporate partners and direct in Australia, effective January 2017.
Based in Sydney, Broughton will report directly to Tim Plant, chief executive officer of QBE’s Australian and New Zealand division (ANZO).
Broughton has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance sector, in both Australia and the UK with brokers and agencies across both commercial and personal lines.
He most recently served as director, for commercial and personal broker markets at Allianz.
He has worked at Allianz since 2000, holding a number of managerial roles.
Plant said: “I am delighted to welcome Andrew to QBE, with his strong local experience and international perspective.”
