QBE Australia expands intermediary distribution team
QBE Australia has made three key leadership appointments within its intermediary distribution (ID) business.
Jason Hammond has been appointed to the newly created role of general manager, broker distribution, based in Sydney. Hammond has more than 20 years’ experience in the insurance market. Prior to this appointment, he spent nine years as QBE’s general manager, workers compensation. Hammond will continue to lead the workers compensation team until a replacement is appointed.
Geoff Cutting has taken up the role of national operations manager for ID based in Melbourne. Cutting has more than 20 years’ experience at QBE and will drive operational excellence, planning and performance across ID.
Peter Klemt has been appointed to the role of general manager, business development, ID, based in Sydney. Klemt has held various senior roles in his more than 30 years in the industry – the past 15 years at QBE. In his new role, Peter Klemt will manage QBE’s strategic relationships working closely with his global peers to deliver profitable growth initiatives.
Jason Clark, QBE Australia’s executive general manager, ID, said the appointments reflected the importance of supporting QBE’s customers’ current and future requirements.
