QFC Authority appoints CEO

The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Authority has appointed Yousuf Al-Jaida as chief executive officer (CEO).

Al-Jaida joined the QFC Authority in 2010 and previously served as its deputy CEO and chief strategic and business development officer.

HE Ali Shareef Al Emadi, minister of finance and chairman of the QFC Authority, said: “Yousuf Al-Jaida has been instrumental in the last year in driving forward the QFC’s broadened strategy. I firmly believe he will continue this momentum and ensure the QFC continues to contribute to Qatar’s economic diversification.”

“Over the last year we have grown considerably and in response to the needs of the national economy have broadened our platform to welcome local and international non-financial service firms. I am honoured and delighted to accept the position of CEO. We will continue to work to facilitate the success of our firms and contribute to the development of Qatar’s private sector.”
