Road Halo and Arc Legal introduce new motor protection model

Road Halo, a UK motor prosecution insurance specialist, has partnered with legal expenses insurance firm Arc Legal to create a distribution model for motor prosecution defence insurance cover, enabling it to be provided either as an add-on or a standalone product. The specialist cover developed by the two firms will provide legal costs to defend motoring offences such as alleged speeding, prosecutions made in error and pleas in mitigation to reverse or reduce fines in exceptional circumstances. The policy can also be enhanced to include personal injury and uninsured loss recovery cover. Arc Legal is providing access to underwriting capacity and will manage the claims handling function for the cover. In addition to the cover, there is a legal helpline which provides advice on any motoring legal problem. The legal helpline and claims under the policy will be serviced by the specialist motoring law firm Caddick Davies Solicitors, who have a national presence in the motoring defence market. Road Halo will market the product as a standalone sale direct to motorists and to brokers as an add-on to their motor insurance proposition.
