Senior Marsh & McLennan exec departs for Everest

Everest Re Group has appointed Jonathan Zaffino as president of Everest National Insurance Company and US insurance operations.

Zaffino joins Everest from Marsh & McLennan Companies, where he served as managing director of Marsh’s US casualty practice from 2010 to 2013, and most recently as president of Victor O Schinnerer & Company.

Before joining Marsh, he held senior underwriting positions with Ace and Willis North America.

Zaffino succeeds Daryl Bradley who will transition from his current role to focus solely on building an international platform for the company’s primary insurance market.
