Skuld Greece head departs; Singapore head steps in
Marine insurer Skuld has appointed Kjell-Åke Augustsson to head up its Greek office following the departure of Clas Rydén.
Skuld said that Rydén is leaving the company to pursue new opportunities.
Augustsson moves from Skuld’s Singapore office, which he has managed since its opening in 2012. Augustsson joined Skuld in 2012 from the Swedish Club in Hong Kong, where he had served as deputy managing director since 2005. He was previously a senior underwriter with Skuld for 10 years until 2000.
Ståle Hansen, Skuld President and CEO, said: “With the world’s largest shipping market being serviced from our Piraeus office it is essential that we continue to enhance the excellent service being provided by the staff in the office and continue to develop our ambitions for the Greek market. The combination of Kjell-Åke’s vast knowledge in marine insurance and his proven track record of superior service levels underline our full commitment to the Greek shipping market.
“I would like to thank Clas for his dedication and valuable contributions to Skuld since 2009 and we wish him all the best for the future.”
