Syndicate Re unveils Vibe in name change

Syndicate Re, one of the largest run-off players at Lloyd's, has renamed its Lloyd’s legacy business RITC Syndicate Management, as Vibe Syndicate Management. It will start writing business from July.

Syndicate Re, formed in 2007 with a focus on Reinsurance to Close (RITC) business and other similar products, is backed by George Soros and private equity house Pine Brook.

Vibe Syndicate Management will manages Lloyd's syndicate 5678, offering RITC and other similar products for open years and discontinued lines of business at Lloyd's.

It also owns Inceptum Insurance Company, a UK insurance company in run off, based in London.

Dinah Gately remains chief executive of the business.
