Third Point Re reveals new US CEO; reshuffles top leadership
Bermuda-based Third Point Reinsurance has announced top leadership changes within the company in an Aug 8 United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing.
Robert Bredahl has been appointed CEO of Third Point Re USA, replacing John Berger in the role. Berger has stepped down as CEO of Third Point Re USA, but will continue to serve as chairman of the company board.
Bredahl will continue to serve as president and chief executive officer of the holding company but will no longer be the CEO of unit Third Point Reinsurance Company. Earlier in March, Berger had stepped down as Third Point Re CEO.
Replacing Bredahl in the position, Daniel Malloy will now take charge as CEO of Third Point Reinsurance Company. Malloy was previously the chief underwriting officer.
In addition, the company has also appointed Manoj Gupta as president of Third Point Re (USA), succeeding Thomas Wafer who has stepped down from his position. Gupta was promoted from EVP, underwriting to president.
Wafer has been elected as chairman of the board of Third Point Re USA.
