Thistle and GCube chairman leaves JLT

Re/insurance broker JLT has announced that Martin Hiller will be retiring from the Group.

Hiller was executive chairman of the group’s subsidiaries, Thistle and GCube, which included the establishment of GCube as a managing general underwriter (MGU). He was also a director of JLT Independent India.

Since joining JLT in 1988, Hiller has had many roles however, including nearly ten years as chief executive officer (CEO) of JLT Specialty and more latterly as CEO of EMEA and the firm’s managing general underwriter (MGU) business.

Dominic Burke, chief executive officer, said: “Throughout his long and distinguished career at JLT and in all the various roles he has filled, Martin has been a key contributor to making JLT the strong and successful group it is today, with its distinctive emphasis on putting clients' needs at the centre of all that we do.

“I would personally like to thank Martin for all of his efforts and contribution and wish him well for the future.’’
