TMK expands UK underwriting team

Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK), the provider of specialist and corporate insurance, has expanded its UK regional offices with the appointment of Owen Shelley and Mark Bradshaw as underwriters.

Shelley joins as a property underwriter in the Birmingham office where he will focus on writing mid and large corporate property. He brings to TMK more than two decades of experience in the insurance market of which 15 years have been spent underwriting the class. Shelley’s remit will include developing the existing broker panels within the Midlands insurance market and working closely with other underwriting departments at TMK, specifically liability, construction and marine, to help cross sell products to regional clients.

Shelley rejoins TMK after roles at various firms including RSA, Ace and Axa.

Bradshaw joins as a senior liability underwriter, also based in Birmingham. With almost 30 years in the insurance industry he comes to TMK from a global insurer where he spent more than 20 years writing liability. Bradshaw will be responsible for building out the regional liability business to complement the strong Midlands property portfolio.

Both Shelley and Bradshaw will report to Stephen Oakes, regional branch manager for the Midlands,
