Towergate expands executive committee

Towergate Insurance has appointed Geoff Gouriet to the executive committee as general counsel.

Gouriet joins Towergate from law firm Stephenson Harwood, where he is a partner in the corporate team.  He is the former head of corporate at Lawrence Graham, a role he continued to hold in the combined Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co following a merger in May 2014.

In addition to his management roles, Gouriet has extensive experience in the insurance sector and has led on a wide variety of high profile corporate transactions.

Former general counsel and company secretary Jennifer Owens has decided to leave Towergate, having joined the business in November 2013.
