Two members elected to Lloyd’s council

Julian James, president of Allied World Europe, and Neil Maidment, chief underwriting officer of Beazley, have both been elected to the Council of Lloyd’s for a term of three years commencing in February.

The elections come following the closing of the ballot to select two working members on January 5, 2016.

Maidment received the most votes (323), followed by James with 207 votes. Nicolas Aubert, chief executive officer of Willis UK, missed out on election with only 168 votes.
