Validus launches Scottsdale office with new hire
Validus Holdings has hired Gary Tiepelman as senior vice president of Western World Insurance Company. He will open and manage an office in Scottsdale, Arizona, for Western World, and will commence writing business in January 2016.
Prior to joining Western World, Tiepelman was senior vice president, underwriting and marketing, at Scottsdale Insurance Company, where he built that company’s binding authority business. Before Scottsdale Insurance Company, he held various management positions with industry insurers, Great Southwest Fire Insurance and Acceptance Insurance.
Tiepelman will assemble an underwriting team for the Scottsdale office, and work with Tim Hochkeppel, senior vice president, underwriting and marketing, contract division.
