WR Berkley poaches Chubb execs for personal lines business
WR Berkley has made three senior appointments within the insurance company’s newly created high net worth personal lines business.
Kevin Hogan has been named senior vice president (SVP) and chief operating officer, Susan Vella has been appointed SVP of customer experience, and Christoph Ritterson is now vice president of marketing. All three will report to corporate SVP Kathleen Tierney, who oversees this new business unit.
Hogan, Vella and Ritterson each have more than 25 years of experience in the high net worth personal lines business. They all join WR Berkley from fellow insurer Chubb.
Hogan was formerly SVP, eastern territory manager for Chubb personal insurance, Vella was SVP for customer service and operations, and Ritterson was strategy officer for personal insurance.
W Robert Berkley, Jr, chief executive officer and president of W R Berkley, said: “We continue to build out our high net worth personal lines operation with talented individuals who can deliver best-in-class products and a superior customer experience in collaboration with the best agents in the business. We welcome Kevin, Susan and Christoph to the group and look forward to their contributions as we develop a platform that will set us apart in this unique specialty market.”
