Xaver loss estimate upped to €727m
PERILS AG has published a revised loss estimate for European windstorm Xaver. It now believes the storm will cost insurers €727 million.
The first loss estimate of €680 million was issued by PERILS on January 16, 2014.
Windstorm Xaver affected Western and Northern Europe on December 5 and 6, 2013. It is also known as Sinterklaasstorm in the Netherlands, Bodil in Denmark and Sven in Sweden.
In line with the PERILS loss reporting schedule, the third loss estimate for Xaver will be published on June 5, 2014.
