Xchanging appoints director from MM4

Xchanging, the business process, procurement and technology services provider, has appointed Chirag Shah, formerly chairman of the recently acquired eSourcing company MM4, as executive director of Xchanging Procurement.

Chirag will lead a repositioning of the procurement business, integrating Xchanging’s procurement services with an enhanced technology platform, underpinned by MM4’s eSourcing suite. He will focus on delivering ongoing product development and technology innovation, leading to new offerings and a broader supply chain focus.

Dave Bowen, chief executive officer of MM4, takes on the additional role of managing director, procurement services, Xchanging Americas. Bowen will leverage the new procurement offerings to drive Xchanging’s growth in both the North and South America markets.

Xchanging said the appointments underline its commitment to delivering innovative technology-enabled solutions to meet the evolving needs of global procurement customers.

Ken Lever, chief executive, Xchanging, said: “I am delighted to welcome Chirag to lead Xchanging Procurement. As one of the three founders of MM4, the eSourcing provider we acquired nine months ago, he has quickly demonstrated his ability to deliver growth and drive innovation in the marketplace.

“Our strategy going forward will combine Xchanging’s established procurement services with one of the market’s most innovative technology platforms, bringing an exciting combination of solutions to existing and new customers. Chirag’s appointment demonstrates our commitment to embedding technology at the heart of Xchanging’s procurement offerings.”
