XL Catlin launches Brazil insurance office
XL Catlin’s insurance segment has launched an office in Rio de Janeiro prompted by high demand for marine and construction lines in Brazil.
The segment currently has more than 50 employees in Brazil already and plans to develop its Rio de Janeiro office to meet the demand for bespoke insurance solutions in the region.
Renato Rodrigues, country manager for Brazil for XL Catlin’s insurance segment, said: “We are very proud to announce the opening of our new office in Rio de Janeiro. This is a truly vibrant city, with the Olympic Games attracting significant investment here.
“It is also the headquarters of many major national and international companies. Some of our biggest lines of business such as Marine and Construction lines are in high demand in the region.”
Bruno Laval, regional manager for Southern Europe and Latin America for XL Catlin’s insurance segment, added: “The opening of the Rio de Janeiro office is evidence of XL Catlin’s commitment to developing talent and expertise in Brazil. We are building a range of new product lines to strengthen our local offering to clients and brokers. The new office will be a key asset in delivering on our growth targets in Brazil.”
