With an infinitesimal amount between the scores, the title of best reinsurer for client service with a GWP of less than $2 billion went to Catlin Re. The reinsurer received a score of 7.27 and a multitude of positive comments.
Catlin was praised on its willingness to work with clients and the responsiveness of its team. A respondent said that the firm “supports clients with a view for a long term relationship”.
It was also commended on its emphasis on its claims service and the wide range of products it offered.
Commenting on its recent results, Stephen Catlin, CEO of Catlin Group, said: “I believe there are still good opportunities for Catlin, even in a softening market. Our diversified portfolio—by region and by product—allows us to see business that many of our competitors do not have the opportunity to write.
