Insurance firm Aspen has confirmed David Whiter, its chairman of international marine, energy and aviation, is to leave the firm.
Whiter has been working in the London aviation insurance market for more than 30 years: first as broker; then as underwriter.
He is also chairman of the International Underwriting Association's (IUA) aviation technical committee.
Whiter was appointed to head up Cigna's international aviation operation in 1992 before leaving to create the XL Aviation operation six years later. He has served on the markets company and Lloyd's committees.
