Exec rejoins Aon’s health solution business for consultant role

Aon Hewitt, the global talent, retirement and health solutions business of Aon, has appointed Michael Walker to its Risk Settlement Group as a principal consultant.

Walker rejoins Aon Hewitt after spending the last two and a half years working in Legal & General’s (L&G) pension risk transfer business.

He was initially director of commercial underwriting, leading a team responsible for pricing half of L&G’s UK bulk annuity transactions. He then became international development manager in L&G’s start-up US pension risk transfer business which wrote its first $450M transaction in the second half of 2015.

Before moving to L&G in 2013, Michael spent 12 years as a consultant in Aon Hewitt’s retirement practice, advising several major pension scheme clients, as well as leading Aon Hewitt’s trustee training operations and acting as the business lead for the company’s annual client pension conferences.
