GreenKite and MGAA launch people advisory line

GreenKite, an independent consultancy firm for insurance and financial services, has partnered with The Managing General Agents’ Association (MGAA) to launch the People Advisory Line (PAL).

It will give MGA full members of the association a one-time, 20-minute expert consultation for the senior person responsible for strategic HR and people risk. MGAA PAL will focus on issues that make a real difference to the firm’s success, and help identify and meet people risks and needs, like recruitment and retention, reward and remuneration, and compliance and regulation.

Sara Ager, CEO at GreenKite and one of the PAL experts, said: “We know from experience that people opportunities and issues impact directly on business performance and growth, and very often involve both HR and regulatory/compliance expertise. We think this is real-life for MGAs as growth-focused businesses and we know that the right support at the right time can make a huge impact.”

Paul Leach, Portfolio HRD and GreenKite founding associate, added that a lot can be achieved in a 20-minute conversation. “We’ll be able to get to the heart of the issue and talk about practical options, based on our extensive hands-on experience and professional knowledge,” he said. “There will be clarity for the firm on options and next steps — whatever the issue.”

PAL aims to help those in start-up, in scale-up mode, planning for a strategic exit or readying for the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR).

“Firms will be thinking about SM&CR impacts on people issues, of course, but they’ll also have questions on remuneration options to future-proof EBITDA, looking at the right M&A partners or targets, and spotting and fixing HR gaps in scale-up and exit planning,” said Ager. “People risk, in all its guises, is critical to get right and GreenKite wants to make a real difference for MGAA members."
