Lancashire appoints former Goshawk Insurance CEO as non-exec director
Specialty re/insurance provider Lancashire Holdings has appointed Michael Dawson as a non-executive director.
Dawson have over 35 years of industry experience, having previously served as chief executive of Goshawk Insurance and its Bermuda subsidiary, Rosemont Re, following a period of extensive losses, in which role he helped implement the successful restructuring and run-off of those businesses.
He has also served on the Council of Lloyd’s and on the Lloyd’s Market Board.
Peter Clarke, chairman of Lancashire, said: "We are delighted to welcome Michael to Lancashire as a Non-Executive Director. Michael has significant Lloyd's and international market experience that further strengthens the Lancashire board. The board has appointed Michael as a member of our nomination and corporate governance, remuneration, and underwriting and underwriting risk committees."
