LMG poaches Adsensa COO for PPL role

London Market Group (LMG) has appointed Susan Jakobek as managing director of Placing Platform Limited (PPL), a priority market initiative for the London Market Target Operating Model (TOM), which allows users to place business electronically.

Jakobek joins from market software provider, Adsensa, where she was chief operating officer (COO). She has 30 years’ experience in the technology sector working with leading corporations, as well as boutique and start-up enterprises, principally focused on the financial services and insurance sectors.

David Ledger, chairman of the PPL Board, said “We are delighted that Sue has joined us at what is an exciting and significant point in the project. Her combination of market understanding, technical knowledge and operational expertise will be a tremendous addition to the team.

“We have now got real momentum. We are in the middle of user acceptance testing and are delighted that the feedback has been extremely positive.

He added: “This should allow us to shortly ‘go live’ with terrorism business as our first business class. Discussions are drawing to a close on the next lines of business to be introduced, and Sue’s role will be vital in delivering the roll-out and building market support.”

Jakobek added: “PPL is a foundation stone for the modernisation agenda, and its commercial objective is compelling. I am very excited to be part of process of helping to strengthen the position of the London Market as the pre-eminent insurance market.”
